Unit 4 · All in the family

p.38–47 + p.120 · 11 页 · 7 段音频

本单元知识框架

本单元围绕“家庭”话题,通过电影家庭和真实新闻故事学习家庭成员、情感类词汇以及物主代词、名词所有格和 was/were 的用法,并练习请求许可的功能用语和撰写邀请函。

学完能做到

  • Talk about families and describe family members using possessive adjectives, pronouns and 's
  • Ask for permission using Can I …?
  • Read a blog and a news article to identify specific information and make inferences
  • Use was / were to talk about past states and events
  • Write an invitation email including a special request or instruction

教学重难点

  • 中国学生极易混淆形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的用法,常在名词性物主代词后多加名词,或在形容词性物主代词后漏掉名词。典型错句:*This is mine book. / *This book is my. 课上在 Grammar 板块应强调公式“名词性物主代词 = 形容词性物主代词 + 名词”,并用替换练习反复巩固,同时提醒 his 两种形式同形。
  • 受母语负迁移影响,学生经常把 whose(谁的)和 who's(who is 的缩写)混为一谈。典型错句:*Who's bag is this? 课上在 Grammar 板块讲解时必须明确板书对比:Whose = belongs to someone; Who's = who + is,并通过 Key Language 里的选择题让学生圈出关键词进行辨析。
  • 名词所有格中复数名词的撇号位置是高频易错点,学生常把以 s 结尾的复数名词所有格写成加 's。典型错句:*my parents's dog. 课上在 Grammar 板块要总结规则:单数或不以 s 结尾的复数加 's(Max's, children's),以 s 结尾的复数只加 '(parents', teachers'),并结合 Vocabulary Practice 里的家庭树图片进行造句输出。
  • 学生在用 be 动词过去时提问或变否定时,容易受一般过去时实义动词的影响误加助动词 did。典型错句:*Did she was happy? / *She didn't was at home. 课上在 Grammar 板块讲 was/were 时要明确指出 be 动词自带过去式,不需要 did 帮忙,并通过句型转换操练强化“Was/Were + 主语?”的结构。
  • 在使用 Can I …? 请求许可时,学生常因中文思维“我能借你……吗”而混淆 borrow 和 lend 的方向,或者在 can 后加了错误的动词形式。典型错句:*Can I lend your bike? / *Can I borrowing your pen?

Possessive adjectives and pronouns

形容词性物主代词(my, your, his, her, our, their)放在名词前表示所属;名词性物主代词(mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs)单独使用,相当于“形容词性物主代词+名词”,后面不再加名词。注意:his 既是形容词性也是名词性物主代词,形式不变。

  • So you know my opinion, what about yours?
  • I like your comments, Max and Emma. And here is mine.
  • It’s my book.
  • The book is mine.
whose and possessive ’s

询问物品归属时用疑问词 whose(谁的),注意不要与 who's(who is 的缩写)混淆。表示某人的东西时,在人名或名词后加 's;如果名词以 -s 结尾的复数形式,则只加撇号(')。

  • Whose favourite family is the Parrs?
  • The Parrs are Max’s favourite.
  • Who’s Violet’s baby brother?
  • Is that your parents’ dog?
was / were

be 动词的过去式。主语为 I / he / she / it 时用 was,主语为 you / we / they 时用 were。否定形式直接在后面加 not(常缩写为 wasn't / weren't)。变疑问句时将 was / were 提到主语前面,注意不需要借助 did。

  • Suzie was four years old.
  • Her eyes were shut and it wasn’t easy for her to breathe.
  • Was her mum really ill?
  • The neighbours weren’t there.
